As the climate crisis becomes even more dire, companies are setting ambitious goals and taking action to address environmental challenges like never before. But how do the climate crisis and corporate actions affect the lives of workers, customers, and society at large? What is the impact on communities that have been marginalized, especially given the inequitable impact of climate change these communities are already experiencing? On December 7, 2022, this panel explored how companies can better connect their climate goals and social impact ambitions; opportunities to more deeply connect with stakeholders; and the leadership and culture required to advance this work.
