As Project Coordinator of the Shared Value Project, the Australian industry peak body for shared value and Regional Partner of the Shared Value Initiative, Briar coordinates and delivers events, communications and program offerings, whilst overseeing the day-to-day operations and the online community of Shared Value Project. She also works closely with the Executive Director, contributing to the overall business goals, relationships, and stakeholder management to foster growth on these fronts.
Briar has extensive experience working in project management, communications, and administration in a variety of public affairs, corporate, not-for-profit and cultural affairs settings in both Australia and New Zealand. She has worked on a variety of projects for clients including City of Melbourne, veski, Obesity Australia, City of Maribyrnong, Real Estate Australia, Big West Festival, ‘This is GREAT Britain’ with the British Consulate, and the Public Relationships Institute of Australia where she was Chair of the New and Emerging Practitioners Group. Briar also serves as Project Manager for the Melbourne Boston Sister Cities Association where she manages the day-to-day operations and delivers unique projects, events, and collaborations that promote and enhance the reputation between both cities, liaising with a variety of Australian and US stakeholders.
Her key areas of professional interest include media futures and new technologies, community and cross-sector stakeholder engagement, strategic relationship development, digital and new economies, international relations, and the knowledge and innovation sectors. Briar holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications, and Politics and International Studies from The University of Melbourne.
